1. Eat Your Way Through La Carihuela
La Carihuela is Torremolinos's old fishing quarter, and it's genuinely one of the best places to eat fish on the entire Costa del Sol. A long promenade lined with unpretentious restaurants serves whatever came off the boats that morning — grilled sardines (espetos) cooked over open fires on the beach are the classic order.
2. Playamar & El Bajondillo Beaches
Torremolinos's central beaches are wide, sandy and well-equipped, backed by a long promenade connecting all the way to Benalmádena. They're busier than La Carihuela's beach but have the most facilities — sun loungers, showers, beach bars.
3. Calle San Miguel
This pedestrianised street running through the town centre has been the heart of Torremolinos since the tourism boom began — a mix of shops, bars and restaurants that gets genuinely lively in the evening. It's a good starting point for exploring the town's nightlife district nearby.
4. Parque de la Batería
This seafront park near La Carihuela has landscaped gardens, sea views and a quieter, more residential feel than the main tourist strip — a good spot for a morning walk before the beaches fill up.
5. Aqualand & Crocodile Park
For a family day out, Aqualand Torremolinos is one of the largest water parks on the coast, and Crocodile Park nearby is a genuinely well-run reptile park with hundreds of crocodiles across several themed zones — both work well as a full-day activity if you're travelling with kids.

La Carihuela is the clear standout for seafood — walk the promenade and pick whichever place has the most locals eating outside. In the town centre, Calle San Miguel and the surrounding streets have a huge range of international and Spanish restaurants reflecting Torremolinos's long history as a mixed-nationality resort town.
Getting Around Torremolinos
Torremolinos is one of the easiest Costa del Sol towns to reach and get around without a car, thanks to its proximity to the airport and train line.
- Train: The Cercanías C1 line connects Torremolinos directly with Málaga airport (around 15 minutes) and Málaga city.
- Walking: The town centre, beaches and La Carihuela are all comfortably walkable from each other.
- Bus/taxi: Frequent local buses and metered taxis cover the rest of the town and connections to Benalmádena and Fuengirola.
Torremolinos on a Budget
